Final JPN101 PE Reflection

今日ＰＥはおわりました。

Cycle 3 Reflection
ふゆ休みにゆっくりしました。それから、うちでＰＥのアクティビティをしませんでした。でも、たくさん日本のドラマをみました。ドラマは時代劇（じだいげき）なので、日本語はとてもむずかしいですね。

For Cycle 3, I did not manage to complete all of the shadowing activities that I had in mind. I think I gave myself much too tough a goal for the holiday season. That said, I did manage to watch almost an entire season of a Japanese television series over the course of the break. While it was difficult to follow the language, I tried very hard to listen to the pronunciation and to catch words I knew.

That, combined with some practice for プリテレ, did help me to improve my listening and speaking skills. I may not have improved in the specific ways I intended, but I do feel more comfortable with my Japanese after Cycle 3. Something I have to consider for the future is that small, attainable goals are usually better for me.


PE Reflection
私はＰＥが大好きです。日本語はむずかしいです。でも、ＰＥをするので、私の日本語のpronunciationはもう少しいいですね。それから、うれしいです。
PE is ending, and it feels like it's been so long since I first filled out the pronunciation survey at the beginning of the course. I wonder if I've improved in the ways I'd hoped to. I definitely feel that the time I've put into PE has paid off. I've learned both how difficult speaking can be and how rewarding it is to improve. And I know that there are a lot of improvements that I still need to make.  Thanks PE! I'll do my best to keep improving my Japanese! がんばります！
