最後まで

今週私は仁をみるのがおわりました。仁のシリーズが二つ（ＪｉｎとＪｉｎ２）ありますが、二つおわりました。かなしいです。仁が大好きでした。

これは私の一番好きな仁のquoteです：

神（かみ）＝god

乗り越えられる ⇒　乗り越える（のりこえる）＝ to overcome; to climb

試練（しれん）＝test; trial
しか＝only (particle)
与えない⇒　与える（あたえる）＝to bestow, grant

"god gives us challenges so that we can overcome them"*

I think that this may be the most-repeated phrase in the series. It is a very important line to some characters and serves a motivational purpose in quite a few scenes. Even if you don't accept what the phrase literally says, I still think that it conveys an important message. That in life it is important to face your challenges, even if you risk significant failure. That by facing your challenges, you can learn and grow and do even better when the next challenge arises. I think this is a great line!
*I couldn't actually translate the quote - the translation is what I remember from the show's subtitles, so I don't know how accurate it is.

”国の為、道の為”

くにのため、みちのため

国（くに）＝country

道（みち）＝path

為（ため）＝sake, benefit

"the sake of the country, the sake of the path"

This also becomes a recurring phrase in the series and an important theme. I think that it refers to the importance of sacrifice for the good of others, of putting one's own comfort and wants aside in order to work toward the greater good, particularly the good of those who depend on you. One of my favorite characters in the series was the originator of this phrase (as used in the show), but I won't say who it is - you should watch to find out!

さいごまで

最後（さいご）＝end

"until the end"

I just finished the last couple of episodes, and this was said frequently in them. It's a simple phrase, but I think that it encapsulates some very important traits: determination, perseverance, selflessness, altruism. Another recurring theme in 仁 is this, the theme of not giving up, of holding out until the end for the sake of others. It's a poignant phrase.

仁はとてもいいドラマです！
It is an exciting and suspenseful and interesting drama with a great story. It is also a window into Japanese history and culture. It has many beautiful scenes and lines, and it is able to approach and convey concepts like the ones I've listed above. I'm glad that I've watched 仁!
